Re: 70.5 - 71.5 MHz

The test boards have arrived from PCBway earlier than expected. Not bad for $16 shipped. The vias are so well implemented I had to use a torch to check there really were holes there. The silk screen looks good. The jury will be out on the design until I get all the parts together. I have already mad...

Re: PAs for Portsdown

I have a linear broadband amplifier that will do up to a watt and a 500W I0JXX pallet amplifier that when correctly biased can do up to about 25W. I am planning to use just the 1W initially which will be 10W ERP.

Re: Help with PuTTY please

There is a long thread on this error here. https://www.raspberrypi.org/forums/view ... hp?t=16380

Are you running any software on your PC that might block putty. E.g. some virus/firewall/security package?

Re: RPI with DATV-Express

As Noel says, if you don't plan to use these ports, there is no need to configure them. However, if you want to know more and perhaps if you do want to use these ports, there is some good information in the DATV Express manual which can be found at https://www.datv-express.com/uploads/UserGuide/DATV...

Re: OLED Display for Minitiouner V2 with FTS4334L

I have one of these modules spare from another project, but reading above I'm unclear what I need to programme (version, source etc) into what exactly? I'm assuming its the USB interface card, which I bought ready-programmed from the BATC shop. Perhaps I'll just get it all working first..... TIA Ga...

Re: Mini-kits Amplifiers

Excuse me hyjacking this thread.... Does anyone have any words on how good the internal LPF is on these modules? I have a 2mtr and 70cm version of these and about to start assembling. Wondering how clean the o/p from the bare modules are Jules Hi Jules, Their filtering is not quite good enough. You...

Bought one a while back to add to the 'play-pile'. Untouched at the moment....

Yes - I would think so, but don't do the bias changes as you will need it as linear as possible.

Re: ADALM-PLUTO (new DATV SDR)

Charles, @ Mike What is the NIM used? I know that a Sharp or Eardatek don't show with the same amplification these kind of anomalies. So I have indicated that it is what I obtain using a FTS-4334. Could you also do something about trapping errors as I end up with a screen full of error windows at t...

Re: ADALM-PLUTO (new DATV SDR)

Hi Charles, Hope you manage to fix the timing issue. There must be a solution. Maybe the problem is trying to satisfy too many constraints and something needs to agree to give. The modulation issue with the pluto looks quite similar to phase jitter or AM/PM. Could it be the phase noise or other nois...
